Perintah dr soal di atas yaitu mengganti kata kerja to infinitive k dlm bentuk present, past & continuous (sedang berjalan).
Present
Dalam present tense kata kerja yg digunakan adalah kata kerja pertama (verb-1), maka untuk mengganti dri kata kerja “to infinitve” ke bentuk present tinggal menghilangkan kata “to”.
Present tense ialah tenses yg menerangkan sebuah kebiasaan yg dikerjakan sehari-hari & menjelaskan sebuah kebenaran lazim.
Contoh :
I am a student.
I think English is easier than math.
Etc.
Past
Dalam past tense kata kerja yg dipakai yaitu verb-2, maka untuk mengganti verb-1 dr “present tense” tadi ke dlm verb-2 kita mampu menyaksikan perubahannya dlm regular verbs (kata kerja beraturan) atau pun irregular verbs (kata kerja tak beraturan).
Past tense yaitu tenses yg menerangkan suatu acara yg dijalankan pada masa lalu.
Berikut ini contoh pergeseran verb-1 ke bentuk verb- 2 :
•Go => Went => Gone (Irregular verbs)
•Study => Studied => Studied (Regular verbs)
Contoh kalimat :
•I went to Malang last month.
•They studied English yesterday.
•Etc
Continuous
Dalam continuous tense kata kerja yg digunakan yaitu verb-1 di tambahkan dgn -ing.
Contoh :
•Go => Going
•Stay => Staying
•Study => Studying
Continuous tense ialah tenses yg menjelaskan sebuah kegiatan yg sedang berlangsung.
Contohnya :
•She is doing her homework.
•We were joining English club.
•Etc
